Oscar Carvallo Spring/Summer 2013 Couture Show

Besides adoring all things bridal, there is a great love of fashion here at The Bride's Diary – especially when fast-tracked straight from Paris!

The new Spring/Summer 2013 Oscar Carvallo collection launched just yesterday at the Shangri-La Hotel in Paris. Here are some images of the stunning new line…

The collection draws inspiration from the ocean and all of its beautiful creatures. Colour palettes of sea foam green, corals and shades of off-white dominate the collection to depict the extravagance and mysterious sensuality of the female fish. The look is further solidified through use of bold metallics and leather scales. Mesmerising!

Oscar has always been known for his unique, personal and often theatrical touch, as well as his special attentiveness to femininity in his designs. Some common themes that can be seen throughout his body of work are the Latin-chic, drama-sex and organic–surrealism. He bases his work on concepts from Latin America and compelling life themes that reflect in every collection he has ever shown without ever losing focus on the female form.
