Roselea Gardens

If you have decided on a garden wedding for your special day, then you absolutely must check out Roselea Gardens! Located in Gawler in the beautiful Barossa Valley, Roselea Gardens offers three stunning historic garden venues, so whether it's a stylish cocktail wedding that you had in mind, or a romantic, intimate affair, Roselea Gardens is sure to enchant.

Both Riverview and Roselea have facilities for weddings, while Roselea Cottage operates as a Bed & Breakfast… read on below for more information on the different venues available.

With Germanic influences tastefully underpinning its Federation grandeur, Riverview stands proudly on the West bank of the South Para River. This iconic Gawler property, with its imposing fountain and tropical feel, has seen generations of weddings pass through its gardens.

In 2003, the main building underwent extensive and sympathetic restoration. Now in operation as professional consulting rooms, Riverview’s historic elegance continues to impress visitors as a backdrop to it’s manicured gardens – so much so that the grounds are sought after as a location for photo shoots and wedding photos.
These tropical style gardens play host to wedding ceremonies and garden parties throughout the year, as the stunning building offers a verandah for use in case of inclement weather on the day of your event.

This grand Victorian two story colonial residence is part of the history of Gawler. The residence was initially built around 1874 on an acre of land subdivided from what was once known as Mahoney’s Paddock.

The land has been meticulously developed and landscaped in the magnificent gardens that now stage so many of Gawler’s prestigious events.

If you are holding a garden wedding or an intimate wedding reception in Gawler, Roselea offers one of South Australia’s finest garden reception venues. Close to the vineyards of the Barossa Valley, we will cater to all your wedding ceremony needs and offer a stunning backdrop for wedding photography. This wonderful setting is also very popular as a cocktail party and events venue.

Roselea Cottage

Built in 1947 of Freestone construction, Roselea Cottage is a fusion of Art Deco architecture and post war necessity – and is a grand example of the times when building materials were relatively scarce.

Roselea Cottage is a privately run bed and breakfast in Gawler, only 45 minutes from Adelaide. The cottage presents an eclectic mix of leadlight and art, heritage and ambience that creates a unique experience for visitors delving into the historic Gawler experience and those seeking a unique stopover on their way to discovering the delights of South Australia’s famous Barossa Valley.

A tour of Adelaide would not be complete without experiencing the hospitality of a true South Australian bed and breakfast, so whether you’re considering an overnight stay or romantic weekend, make sure you stop at Roselea Cottage.

Have a lovely day!… Anna
